Service, food, beverages, and atmosphere were inspiring! Food: Bread – Sourdough... Wow… just Wow. Fresh and unmistakably French. Appetizers: Wild Mushroom Tart – An absolute must-try! Thin, flaky puff pastry loaded with mushrooms and cheese. Delicious. Foie Gras Torchon – Very good, though a bit salty for my taste. The texture and creamy flavor were excellent. The pickled blueberries were a first for me — now I’m trying to find where to buy them! Daily Specials: BOEUF BOURGUIGNON. Boeuf Bourguignon – I will be back for more. The beef was very tender, and the seasoning was perfection. The mashed potatoes were so good you’ll want an extra serving. Dessert: We had the Profiteroles — absolutely the best choice to finish our dinner. Dark chocolate and ice cream… it’s impossible to go wrong with that. Service: Service was excellent. Thank you, Stephanie M., for reserving the last portion of Boeuf Bourguignon for us and helping us choose the wine. We will definitely return to try the brunch menu!
Wonderful experience this evening at Le Supreme. We put a note in about our anniversary and were greeted with a hand written congratulations. 5 cheese charcuterie was a delightful variety of flavor. Drinks were good and their classic old fashioned was perfect. Overall experience was great and we will be returning. Thanks for a great experience and all the hospitality.
Great spot for date night or just night out on town. There is some outdoor seating as well, but the inside has a very fun, vibrant atmosphere. It is a bit loud, as tables are close together, and there is overhead music playing, but you can still have a conversation without shouting at each other. The service is fairly fast and really good. All the staff members we encountered were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was really good. Maybe not outstanding but definitely a solid choice. So were the signature cocktails we tried. I strongly recommend it and definitely will be back. Also, prices are actually reasonable for a this type of restaurant.
We chose Le Suprême for our anniversary celebration and it was a great experience! When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready, but the staff was attentive and recommended we grab a drink at the beautiful bar, which was a nice start to the evening. The Food For our appetizer, we split the Salade Lyonnaise, which was perfectly executed—a great, traditional French starter. For the entrees: Lapin à la Moutarde: I was encouraged to try the rabbit (a first for me!) and it was quite flavorful. The meat was surprisingly sweet and tender. My only small note is that I wished the accompanying tagliatelle had been served with a bit more sauce to fully coat the pasta. Burger du Maison: My husband went with the house burger and was very satisfied. The burger was cooked well and the fries had a nice bite and were perfectly seasoned. We ended the meal flawlessly with the profiteroles served with warm dark chocolate sauce. It was the perfect classic French dessert to finish our celebration. Le Suprême offers beautiful ambiance and great food for a special night out. We definitely recommend it!
I stopped in at La Supreme. The French onion soup was outstanding; it was rich, savory, and topped with perfectly melted cheese. The duck in Dijon mustard sauce was flavourful: tangy, creamy, and well-balanced. The tagliatelle tasted very fresh and paired beautifully with the dish. The only downside was the duck itself. The portion was quite small, and the meat was a little tough, which made it feel like it might not have been the freshest cut. Overall, great flavors and a nice French dining experience. I’d definitely come back, especially for the soup and pasta, but I’d hope for a better duck portion next time.
Finally made it to Le Supreme and it was everything we expected it to be. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and were seated within 10 minutes. The food was delicious and the French onion soup was so similar to one I had in France a few months ago. The steak is full of flavor and the fries were delicious. The Almond croissant was perfect! I was impressed with the cappuccinos as it was not too milky and the espresso was perfect. Definitely on the pricier side in comparison to other restaurants in downtown Detroit but it is worth it! We will for sure be back!
We were in town for a concert and stopped in for brunch before leaving Detroit, and we weren’t disappointed!! Our server started our meal by telling us about the history of the restaurant and the building, which was fun to learn about! We started with some lovely pastries - the pain au chocolat was probably the best I’ve ever had! I got Eggs Benedict and my husband got the Quiche Lorraine. Both were delicious! The quiche was flavourful, had the perfect flaky crust and just melted in your mouth. My eggs were poached perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce had just a touch of sweetness - exactly how I like it. The potatoes were crisp on the outside and light and fluffy inside, and seasoned well. The portion sizes here are so generous! I was very impressed. It’s definitely great food and well worth the price. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be stopping back for dinner service next time we’re in Detroit!
My boyfriend and I just visited Detroit and we actually ate here for breakfast and then came back the same day for dinner! Both meals were fantastic. Our server in the morning was Clare and she was very sweet and kind in offering some recommendations around the city for us to explore. Our server at night was Jeremy and he was fantastic as well! For breakfast, we tried the shrimp cocktail, pain au chocolat, eggs Norwegian, and the omelette. For dinner we had the mushroom tart, mussels, and steak. For dessert, we had the profiteroles at the restaurant and took the crème brûlée and pot de crème back to our hotel room and enjoyed them later on in the evening. Everything was great, we would definitely visit again!
